Today it is much more common to see someone texting rather than talking on the phone. And there is a good reason for it: texting definitely has its advantages. A discreet mode of communication, text messaging ensures privacy, protecting you from someone accidentally overhearing your conversation. Texting is also good if you want to save conversation history and revise it later anytime, and it's just perfect when you need to send a link, a phone number or something like that. To make texting even more convenient, SMS at Hand has been designed. The smart text messaging application improves smartphone interface and offers the easiest way to manage your text messages for Windows Mobile 6 Standard. The ultimate must-have for smartphone users, SMS at Hand arranges your messages and calls into easy-to-follow conversation threads sorted chronologically, one thread per contact. All the contacts are presented in a list of conversations. The most frequently used contacts are at the top of the list, so that you don't have to click your way through your contact list every time you want to text your best friend or your significant other. However, the flexible sorting system also allows sorting contacts alphabetically and by the date of the last message. Messages can be filtered flexibly, too: you can choose to show incoming messages only, sent messages, or view the whole conversation history, including all the messages and calls. Conversations can be archived into HTML or text file. The app features an inbound SMS editor that enables you to input longer messages by adjusting its size to text length. The conversation screen provides all the details and shows the whole SMS text body. For your convenience, long text messages can be rolled up into 2-line items and then unrolled if needed. What's more, SMS at Hand allows using active links found in text messages. Depending on the link type, it can be saved to contact list or used to navigate to a web page, send an e-mail, call or send SMS. The advantageous app smoothly integrates with the system and automatically adjusts itself to the system color scheme and screen resolution. It also allows you to select font size, icons colors and scrollbar type. On HTC phones with G-sensor the program supports autorotation.
